Pain

This piece is about the beautiful endorphin rush the body releases to attempt relieve severe amounts of distress. The flowers symbolize the endorphin effort my body gave when my leg was broken. The natural fair skin and red hair characteristics in this piece symbolize the searing white hot and fiery feelings of pain. The scale of the trains in comparison to the body relate to the amount of unstoppable and imovable pain I experienced.

Mandy Nicklaus is a dancer and performer herself. Throughout the piece she moved freely and wildly listening to her own body's limits.

Performed by Mandy Nicklaus

Documented by Katie Alderson
